Terms of using Raknty

Terms & conditions

By using the Raknty app, its website, or any car park it operates, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service.

Who we are and what we provide

Raknty is [full legal company name], commercial register number [number]. We provide a digital platform that connects you to available parking, opens the gate by recognising your plate, works out how long you stayed and what that costs, and takes payment.

Your account

• A working phone number is required to open an account, verified by a code sent to it.
• You are responsible for what happens on your account and from your phone. Tell us at once if you lose control of your number or your device.
• One account per person. We may suspend an account used for fraud or to avoid charges.

Your vehicles and their plates

The plate is what opens the gate and ties a session to your account. Getting it right is your responsibility:

• Register only a vehicle you own or drive with the owner's permission.
• A wrong plate may stop the gate opening, and may put a session on someone else's vehicle. Correct your details as soon as they change.
• If a session appears on your plate that you did not make, tell us and we will review the camera reads.

How charges are worked out

A session starts when the camera reads your plate on the way in, and ends when it reads it on the way out. The charge is worked out like this:

• A first block at a set price, shown in the app before you enter.
• Then time units at that site's published rate. A unit begun is a unit charged.
• A daily cap that a single day's charges will not exceed, where one is published.
• Prices are shown per site in the app before you start. A site operator may change them in future — a change never applies to a session already running.

If your plate is not read

A camera can misread a plate or fail to read one. If the gate does not open, speak to the site team. If a misread produces a wrong charge, tell us within [14] days and we will review the session and its reads and correct anything shown to be wrong.

The wallet and payment

• Wallet balance pays for parking within Raknty only. It cannot be transferred to another person except through the pay-for-a-friend feature in the app.
• Top-ups go through a licensed payment gateway. We do not store your card details.
• Unused balance can be refunded on request to info@raknty.com, paid within [14] working days after deducting anything you owe.
• Unpaid amounts may stop you starting a new session until they are settled.

Bookings

Booking is available only at sites that support it. It holds a space for the agreed window, and you can cancel it from the app before it starts at no charge. Arriving after the window has passed is treated as ordinary parking at the site's rate.

Responsibility for your vehicle

This matters, so we say it plainly: Raknty runs the software and takes the payment. The safety of your vehicle and of anything inside it is the responsibility of the operator of the site where you parked, under their terms and the notices displayed there. Using the Raknty app does not create a custody or safekeeping contract between you and us.

What we do answer for is what our own system gets wrong: a charge calculated incorrectly, a payment taken twice, a session recorded against the wrong person. We correct those and refund anything collected in error.

Violations

Parking rules inside each site are set by its operator, and breaking them — parking in an accessible bay, or blocking a route — may attract a violation charge from that operator. Violations linked to your vehicles appear in the app; disputes about them are with the site operator.

When the service is unavailable

We aim to keep the service available and do not guarantee it will never be interrupted. It may stop for maintenance, or because of a network or site-system fault. When the system cannot run, the site team handles entry, exit and payment manually.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time from the app or by writing to us. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms or where we suspect fraud, and we will tell you why.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. Where a change is material we will tell you in the app before it takes effect, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of [city] have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
